One of the main funding sources I’ve had came from BIA and helped me launch GeekzVentures. BIA launched an initiative for entrepreneur support organizations, [called Resource]. When we joined [Resource], GeekzVentures was just an idea. So that funding [from the program] has been phenomenal. It helped us build our website. It helped towards funding our program manager. It helped in securing micro grants. BIA has been the genesis of me launching Geekz Ventures.
Nothing can compare to the energy you get at a Black Innovation Alliance member outing. Nothing. It’s truly explosive! Conversations around what we are building and how we can collaborate were robust but second to laughter and joy. ❤️🖤 BIA’s network of ecosystem leaders and investors is a necessary coalition during a critical time in the global development of Black innovation. I’m very honored to be a part of this network of brilliant leaders.
